Derry Girls Tour
Beginning at the famous Derry Girls mural on Orchard Street , walk in the footsteps of your favourite Derry Girls (not forgetting the wee English fella of course!) . Learn interesting facts about the show, visit filming locations and have plenty of craic with your resident Derry Girl Charlene or pure bred Derry man Garvin. We have had the pleasure of hosting many stars from the show on our tour so if its good enough for the stars then its good enough for you!
From April – October we offer public Derry Girls Tours every Saturday at 12noon, costing only £10pp. This tour must be pre booked in advance by email derrycitytours@icloud.com or calling us on 07712937997. This tour can also be booked privately at a day or time of your choosing (subject to availability).
What's Included?
Our guide will give you a background of the now famous Derry Girls mural , talk about similarities and differences between Catholics and Protestants , visit Pump Street , see where Mary was having her ‘affair’ with the plumber, experience an opportunity to become a Derry Girl at Ferry Clever and purchase merchandise , The Yellow Yard (James’ fight with madstab), the city walls (“sure they’re nothing short of spectacular!” – Erin), Toto’s dash down Nailor’s Row, The Guildhall ( Clinton Visit & Orla registering to vote), plus many more sights and stories!
Our guides offer not only their own insights and anecdotes about the show but we also share behind the scenes banter, upcoming news, and local Derry Girl humour – which can hopefully one day make it in a ‘Derry Girls Movie’.
